Emergency Communication Program

Volunteers needed

Hurricane Expo kicked off a new awareness for a need for emergency communications. No one expects a disaster to occur in The Villages but one did in 2007 when tornadoes struck and destroyed many homes in our community. Amateur Radio provided needed communications at the time. What if we are called upon to do so again? What if we are faced with another disaster? We need to be ready to respond. All members that are interested in being part of a team that will provide emergency communications, exclusively for and in The Villages, during a time of need, please volunteer. You can sign up by clicking on the “link” provided on the Home Page of this website. If you have any questions about this effort, please contact Ron Adcock, rpadcock@gmail.com.  If there is only one program that you ever sign up for, this should be the one.
